Attorney Audrey Mark, named one of the Top Women Lawyers of 2017 by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, is an experienced trial attorney and an expert in matters related to child abuse and sexual assault.  Prior to opening her own firm, Attorney Mark spent almost two decades as a child abuse prosecutor in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, with the last eight years as Chief of the Child Protection Unit. As an Assistant District Attorney, Attorney Mark investigated hundreds of complex child abuse cases and litigated more than 40 jury trials, including those charging child rape, child physical abuse, rape, incest, human trafficking, and murder. She further supervised the investigation and prosecution of all child abuse cases referred to the DA’s Office.

In addition, during her eight years in private practice and four years serving as the General Counsel of the Office of the Inspector General, Attorney Mark gained extensive experience conducting complicated and sensitive independent investigations, including related to allegations of harassment and sexual assault in the workplace.

Further, Attorney Mark has experience in drafting and consulting on proposed legislation and regulations, including a bill to prevent child sexual abuse by adults in positions of authority or trust and one to create buffer zone protection of patients from harassment by protestors at reproductive healthcare facilities.

Attorney Mark is admitted to practice in federal and state courts in Massachusetts. She has experience before the District Courts, Boston Juvenile Court, the Superior Courts, the Probate and Family Courts, the US District Court of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. She also has Briefed cases and argued before the Supreme Judicial Court in cases charging child abuse and sexual violence.
